Enjoy the Adventure
Your tour will start with a drive to the town of Hoi An (dependent on the port your cruise docks at, this journey can take between 45 mins up to 2 hours because of congestion on the day of the tour).
Upon arrival, your guide will first take you for a visit to the Hoi An central market, a place that offers all the daily needs for Hoi An's locals. Learn about the genuine life of Hoi An, how the locals run their businesses and have some delicious samplings on the way, such as the Chè (sweet bean soup with coconut milk), cakes and other delicacies you won't be able to find in any restaurant worldwide.
Continue your visit to some of ancient public buildings and assembly halls to learn about the history and cultural diversity of the City. With typical decoration and worshipping figures, each place breathes spiritual meaning and reveals the origins of the diverse groups of people who reside here.
Stop in one of the private ancient houses and let the owners introduce you to Hoi An's typical decoration and traditional motif, as well as learning about the family traditions and values passed from generation to generation. Continue your walk along the river front to witness more scenes of local life.
After sampling more of the food, you will walk along the river until you arrive at the 17th century
Japanese covered bridge, you walk along the river, until you will arrive at the 17th century Japanese covered bridge, the symbol of Hoi An. Part of Hoi An's Old Town district, this bridge is one of the best preserved in South-East Asia and was built in 1590 by the Japanese community to connect them to the Chinese quarter.
After you will continue to Hoi An museum, to learn about the history and culture of the area and witness a range of artifacts such as ceramics, pottery depicting changing faces of Hoi An and photographs of the past.
Your guide will then take you to a small alley where you will be able to admire local families busy in their handicrafts such as lantern-making.
Your walking tour will conclude with a visit to a family temple, to learn about traditional practice of ancestor worshipping before visiting the ancient pagoda of Hoi An. The ancient Pagoda of Hoi An was built in 1653 and contains an impressive collection of relics spanning 2,000 years of history.
At the end of the tour, you will be returned to the port in plenty of time for your cruise ships departure.

- It is recommended to drink plenty of water.
- Please wear comfortable footwear for this excursion as there is some walking on uneven ground, inclines and steps.
