Enjoy the journey
Your tour will begin with a scenic drive along the coastal road to Da Nang. You will pass many former American bases along the beaches before arriving into Da Nang.
Your first stop will be at the Cham Museum built by the French and used as the Ecole Francaise d'Extreme Orient in 1915. This charming but rather primitive museum has a large collection of sculptures and a unique collection of Cham artifacts. The exhibits depict four different periods: My Son, Tra Kieu, Dong Duong and Thap Mam. Most of the Buddhist and Hinduist statutes were made from sand stone which has existed for many centuries.
Continuing your tour you will then drive to the Han market, which is a popular place for locals to buy daily necessities & is full of local produce. Across the street you will visit the XQ embroidery workshop where you can see the Vietnamese women working hard on beautiful embroidered pieces.
You will then leave for the town of Marble mountain, which was a former American marine base. The mountain has 5 mounts, namely: Metal, Wood, Water, Fire and Earth. Lots of stone handcrafts are for sale here and bargaining is a must for a good price if you want to shop for stone statues.
Your final stop will be to the famous China beach, which is said to be the most beautiful beach, and is home to several 5 star resorts. You can take a stroll along the beach, relax and enjoy the fresh air before you head back to the ship.
