SIEM REAP – BATTAMBANG – SIEM REAP CLASSIC

Begin in Siem Reap, where you’ll cruise through the serene floating village of Kampong Phluk on Tonle Sap Lake, discovering stilted homes and flooded forests that showcase life on the water. Delve into the ancient wonders of Angkor Wat, Angkor Thom, and the mysterious Ta Prohm, where nature and stone entwine in timeless harmony. Discover off-the-beaten-path treasures like Banteay Srei, Banteay Samre, and Preah Khan, culminating with a stunning sunset view from the summit of Pre Rup Temple. Journey west to Battambang, Cambodia’s tranquil countryside gem, famed for its colonial charm and local traditions. Explore the hilltop temple of Phnom Banan, the massive, seated Buddha of Ek Phnom, and witness rural life along the Sangker River. Stop by local villages that preserve traditional crafts like rice papermaking.

DAY 1: SIEM REAP ARRIVAL & TONLE SAP TOUR (KAMPONG PHLUK) (-/-/-)


Upon arrival Siem Reap airport, our guide and driver will transfer you to hotel for check in.
Afternoon, we go out to visit the rural Cambodia tour out of town to Tonle Sap Lake. Upon reaching the lake’s shores, travel by boat to Kampong Phluk. This village is further away than most and thus receives fewer tourists. Board a local boat and visit Kampong Phluck, a village where you will see houses on stilts that are submerged when Tonlé Sap Lake extends. On the way, you will pass floating houses and impressive flooded forests, portraying life on the water and enjoy views of the lake from a different perspective.

DAY 2: FULL DAY ANGKOR TOUR – MAIN TEMPLES (ANGKOR THOM – TA PROHM – ANGKOR WAT) (B/-/-)


Breakfast at hotel, visit the antique capital of Angkor Thom (12 century): the South Gate with its huge statues depicting the churning of the ocean of milk, the Bayon Temple, unique for its 54 towers decorated with over 200 smiling faces of Avolokitesvara, the Phimeanakas, the Royal Enclosure, the Elephants Terrace and the Terrace of the Leper King. Continue visit Ta Prohm, one of the area’s most beautiful temples. Ta Prohm has been relatively untouched since it was discovered and retains much of its mystery.

Afternoon, visit the most famous of all the temples on the plain of Angkor, Angkor Wat, the temple complex covers 81 hectares and is comparable in size to the Imperial Palace in Beijing. Its distinctive five towers are emblazoned on the Cambodian flag and the 12th century masterpiece is considered by art historians to be the prime example of classical Khmer art and architecture. If time and energy permitted visit Old market for some souvenirs for friends and families.

DAY 3: FULL DAY BANTEAY SREI – GRAND CIRCUIT TEMPLES (B/-/-)


After breakfast at hotel drive to the enchanting temple of Banteay Srei, everyone’s favorite site . The special charm of this temple lies in its compact size, remarkable state of preservation, and the excellence of its decorative carvings. Then continue your visit to Banteay Samre, built in the third quarter of the 12th century. It consists of a central temple with four wings, preceded by a hall, and accompanied by two libraries; the southern example is remarkably well preserved. Make a short stop at Pradak Village, where you will see the villagers making palm sugar, handicraft for selling to tourist. It’s a nice chance for you to see the local people living at the country side with their struggling for daily life.


Afternoon visit Preah Khan temple, was built by the King Jayavarman VII, Preah Khan, like Ta Prohm, a place of towered enclosures and shoulder-hugging corridors. Continue your visit to Neak Pean, a fountain (built in the middle of a pool and representing the paradisiacal Himalayan mountain-lake. Next, we will visit Ta Prohm Temple, one of the area’s most beautiful temples. The temple of Ta Prohm was once used as a location in the famous Hollywood film Tomb Raider. Lastly, we will withness the spectacular sunset view from the top Pre Rup Temple. Pre Rup is a temple at Angkor, Cambodia, built as the state temple of Khmer king Rajendravarman and dedicated in 961 or early 962. It is a temple mountain of combined brick, laterite and sandstone construction.

⦁ Pre Rup → Siem Reap City Center: 8.5 miles → 25 minutes driving

DAY 4: SIEM REAP – BATTAMBANG – SIEM REAP (B/-/-)


At 6:30AM, our guide and driver will pick you up from hotel lobby, and we will departure to Battambang, the second largest city and the biggest rice producer in Cambodia. Travel times take about 3 hours. Upon arrival Battambong continue straight to visit Phnom Banon, the 11th century mountaintop Angkorian ruin of Phnom Banan is the best preserved of the Khmer temples around Battambang. As you approach you will see the distinctive five towers pointing skyward, like a smaller version of Angkor Wat. At the base of the mountain, you are faced with a steep laterite staircase flanked by Nagas. After climbing the 350+ steps you are treated to a wonderfully peaceful setting. The temple was built by Udayadityavarman II, son of Suryavarman I.

After visit Phnom Banon, you may take picnic lunch (local food) nearby temple (at your expense).
After lunch break, continue the visit to Wat Ek Phnom, an impressive but extremely dilapidated temple situated next to a large pond and is behind a contemporary 28m high Buddha statue. Then continue to visit Wat Sangker Slaket Pagoda, the former residence of the provincial Buddhist patriarch. Next, visit the village along the Sangker river, stop at village in countryside that produce the rice paper.

After visit, transfer back to Siem Reap. You will expect to arrive late evening for your drop off at hotel.
