Embark on a 4-day, 3-night journey to Bangkok and Ayutthaya, where Thailand’s rich royal heritage and cultural treasures come alive. Cruise along the Chao Phraya River by long tail boat, taking in the vibrant life along its canals and visiting the iconic Wat Arun. Discover the grandeur of the Grand Royal Palace and the sacred Wat Phra Kaew, home of the Emerald Buddha, as well as Wat Pho’s giant reclining Buddha. Explore the traditional teak architecture and fascinating history at Jim Thompson House. Venture to Ayutthaya to admire its ancient temples, including Wat Phu Khao Thong, Wat Phra Si Sanphet, and Wat Lokaya Sutha, and visit the eclectic Bang Pa-In Summer Palace. This tour promises a perfect blend of historic splendor, cultural immersion, and scenic charm.
DAY 1: BANGKOK ARRIVAL – CHAO PHRAYA BOAT EXCURSION (-/-/-)
Welcome to Bangkok, the vibrant capital of Thailand where rich history meets modern life. Upon arrival at Bangkok airport, you are greeted and transferred to the hotel for check in and refreshment.
Afternoon we take boarding on a long tail boat for an excursion along the Chao Phraya River and many bustling interior canals that offer fantastic views of local life close by. Along the way, we stop at Wat Arun, the temple of the Aube.

DAY 2: BANGKOK ROYAL PALACE – JIM THOMPSON HOUSE (B/-/-)
After breakfast, we visit the Grand Royal Palace dedicated to the ceremony of the royal family of Thailand. In the same compound is the magnificent Wat Phra Kaew which is known for the Statue of the Emerald Buddha. After visiting this complex, we continue to visit Wat Pho, a giant house of the lying Buddha.
Afternoon transfer to the Jim Thompson house, in the heart of Bangkok’s city center: start by learning the story of the American businessman and traveler, who made it his life’s work to bring Thai silks to the world’s fashion houses, and then explore his remarkable home. This is one of the best places in Bangkok to see traditional Thai teak homes, as Thompson assembled his using historic houses shipped to Bangkok from around the country. Find out what is known – and what remains a mystery – about Thompson’s 1967 disappearance in the Malaysian jungle, then explore the collection of art that he assembled during 25 years in Thailand.
Return to the hotel and free time for relaxation.

DAY 3: BANGKOK – AYUTTHAYA – BANGKOK (B/-/-)
In the morning, we will depart to Ayutthaya; it takes about more than hour to reach the former Thai capital. Witness the glory of the ancient capital through its temple and palace ruins. First you will visit Wat Phu Khao Thong, or the “Monastery of the Golden Mount”, which is located just outside Ayutthaya. Then you will proceed to the ancient palace and Wat Phra Si Sanphet. You will also visit Viharn Phra Mongkol Bopit, one of the largest bronze Buddha’s in Thailand. Have lunch by your own account. Afterwards you will visit Wat Lokaya Sutha. This temple enshrines a large reclining Buddha image. Our last visit will be the Bang Pa-In Summer Palace, built during the Ayutthaya era. The palace showcases an eclectic collection of buildings that blend European, Khmer, Thai and Chinese architectural styles. It’s the favorite summer palace of the King.
At the end of the afternoon, return to the hotel and free time for relaxation.
