Itinerary

Enjoy the journey

Your tour will begin from Chan May port in Hue, through peaceful roads to discover the beautifully constructed buildings, lush and tranquil vegetation and stunning gardens.

Your first stop will be Tha Om house & gardens, which is owned by an interesting architect. You will be greeted by your friendly host, who will walk you around the ancient house as you listen to his explanations about the principles of feng shui and how various features and the placement of plants meet the feng shui ideal. Here you will enjoy a very delicious lunch, prepared and served by this wonderful family and is the perfect way to relax and indulge the local culture.

The tour will then continue to an exquisite embroidery workshop. This workshop specializes in silk apparel and hand embroidered works of art. Inside you will find a traditional looking Vietnamese courtyard where the craftspeople work so you can see how the items are made. Some premade items will be available for you to purchase – including clothing, wallets and handbags.

At the end of the tour, you will be taken back to the port plenty of time before your ship’s departure.

SPECIAL INSTRUCTIONS:

In order to participate in this tour, passport details (including passport number, date of birth and date of issue/expiry) and full name of all the passengers are required. Please contact our guest service team to provide this information prior to your departure.
The ship could sometimes change its itinerary and dock in Chan May port (Hue City) instead of Tien Sa port, Da Nang City. In this case, there will be an additional charge of $15.00 per person to be paid directly on the day of your tour.
Local currency is the Vietnamese Dong
It is recommended to take sun cream and a sun hat, as at times on this excursion it can get un-seasonably hot.
It is recommended to drink plenty of water.
Please wear comfortable footwear for this excursion as there is some walking on uneven ground, inclines and steps
Please don’t forget your fully charged camera, as we don’t want you to miss out on some wonderful memories.
If you will be taking personal belongings on your tour, these can be stowed safely on the tour bus when not in use. Please ensure you take these with you at the end of the tour.
Our guide on the day will remind you to take all of your personal belongings.
