CAMBODIA VISA
OVERVIEW
A Cambodia visa is an official document or endorsement required by travelers to enter, stay in, or transit through Cambodia.
New policies from July 1st 2024:
Starting July 1st, all inbound travelers to Cambodia will have to complete an electronic arrival card at least seven days prior to their arrival. This new digital form replaces the Immigration Paper Form that is set to be discontinued soon. This new Cambodia e-Arrival (CeA) system will integrate the e-visa on arrival application, immigration, customs and health declaration forms, consolidating them into a convenient one-stop portal. There are currently two ways to access this system:
⦁ via the government’s official site https://www.arrival.gov.kh
⦁ via the Cambodia e-Arrival Card application on mobile devices

VOA is single-entry only. If you leave Cambodia and want to return, you will need a obtain a new Visa on Arrival.
All international border checkpoints issue visas on arrival. Some international borders are only for locals, i.e. third-country foreigners cannot use them. These are usually very small provincial border posts.
The Cambodia VOA can be extended once for another 30 days of stay. You can extend it yourself or use an agent.
The following documents are required for the Cambodia Visa on Arrival.
⦁ Valid passport (must be valid for at least 6 months more on the day of arrival in Cambodia & have at least 1 full blank page)
⦁ 30 USD in cash
**NOTE: A passport-size photo is NOT required for the visa on arrival.
Apart from the above documents, you’re recommended to prepar the following documents as well.
⦁ Proof of onward or return ticket
⦁ Proof of accommodation booking
⦁ Proof of funds (such as cash, ATM or credit cards)
How to get VOA at the airport?
Before arrival, make sure to submit the Cambodia arrival card online.
After landing, keep on walking until the visa on arrival counters. They are on the way to Immigration and baggage reclaim and you cannot miss them.
The counter consists of a line of officials behind a glass frame. There are 3 “stops” in total:
1. Hand your passport over and receive a numbered slip of paper. Move to the right.
2. Wait to be called over, show the slip, and pay 30 USD cash. Move to the right.
3. Wait for your passport to be processed and stamped and take it from the official who handles it last.
The whole process takes around 10 minutes.
How to get VOA at the land border?
Getting a visa on arrival at land borders is very similar in procedure to the airport experience:
1. Give your passport and pay the visa fee.
2. Collect your stamped passport and proceed to immigration for an entry stamp.
Some borders may still require a face photo although it’s no longer necessary for the visa on arrival.
CAMBODIA E-VISA
Cambodia e-Visa is valid for 3 months from the date of issue. You must enter Cambodia before it expires, otherwise you will need a new visa.
The allowed duration of stay for the e-Visa is 30 days. It is extendable once for an additional 30 days. The day you enter is considered Day 1.
The Cambodian e-Visa is single-entry only. Multiple-entry e-Visas do not exist.
All countries are eligible for Cambodia e-Visa. Visa-exempt countries are also eligible to apply for the e-Visa. If you are visa-exempt and you intend to stay in Cambodia longer than the allowed 30-day stay, you can opt for e-Visa.
Cambodian e-visa is only issued at three international airports (Siem Reap, Phnom Penh, Sihanoukville) and four land border crossings (Cham Yeam – Koh Kong, Poi Pet – Banteay Meanchey, Bavet – Svay Rieng, Tropaeng Kreal Border Post – Stung Treng). Other border crossings do not support electronic visas.
The processing time of the e-Visa is pretty quick – just 3 working days. It often gets done even quicker than that. Because of the long validity, it’s best to apply when you are certain of your travel plans.
⦁ Latest: 3 days before traveling
⦁ Earliest: 3 months before traveling
